Privacy, in plain language
No legal-speak. Here's exactly what we collect, why, and what we do — and don't do — with it.
What we collect
At signup: your name, email, date of birth, time of birth, place of birth, your role (engineering, design, student, etc.), and the time you want your daily email. That's it — no location tracking, no social profiles, no browsing history.
Why we need it
Your date, time, and place of birth are used once, at signup, to calculate your rasi (moon sign) and nakshatra — using open astronomical formulas that run entirely on our own server, not a third-party astrology service. We store the result of that calculation, not your raw coordinates. Your role is used to make the daily content actually relevant to your day instead of generic.
How it's protected
Your birth details are encrypted (AES-256-GCM) the moment they reach our server, before they're ever written to a database. The decryption key lives only in our server's secret store — there's no dashboard, admin panel, or support tool that can display your decrypted information. It's decrypted automatically, in memory, only at the moment your daily email is generated, and never logged or persisted in decrypted form. No one on our team can casually "look up" your birth chart, because there's nothing built that lets us.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
- We don't have astrologers or humans reviewing your birth details.
- We don't use your data to train any AI model.
Payments
Payments and UPI Autopay / card mandates are handled entirely by Razorpay, a licensed payment processor. We never see or store your full card number or UPI PIN — Razorpay passes us only a subscription status.
Who else touches your data
A small number of specialist services process data on our behalf, only for the purpose listed, and never for their own use:
- Razorpay — payment processing and UPI Autopay/card mandates.
- Resend — delivering your daily email.
- Anthropic (Claude) — writing your daily email's content from your rasi/nakshatra and role, not your name or contact details.
Deleting your data
Unsubscribing — from any email we send, in one click — cancels your subscription immediately and deletes your personal data from our systems right away. We keep a minimal, anonymized billing record only as long as accounting/tax rules require, never your birth details.
